I need to give credit where credit is due with those baby shoes.  I couldn't figure out how to add a link using my phone, so here is the blog I used to make those shoes.

Baby shoes

This post has two purposes: First, to show off these cute baby shoes I made using a pattern I found on pinterest; and second, to see how the blogger app on my phone works. It's amazing what projects I am getting done in my time off. Unfortunately, I am still not getting much cooking done. Maybe I will make that a New Years resolution.

Christmas Crafts

I always get these great craft ideas before Christmas.  Each year we get some big project going.  Two years ago we took on the project of making University of Utah cornhole boards for Chris's sister and brother-in-law.  This year, we made them new UofU bean bags for their boards.  I didn't get a picture of those, but I did get a picture of some of the other crafts I made.  For my brother and sister-in-law, we made a Birthday Board. Chris and I also made onsies for Misty and Carrie's babies, both due in April.

Christmas Eve - Warning: It's a Novel

It's hard to see, but this is one blood-splattered door. Another war-zone Zoro's ear with a chunk removed The removed chunk The crate Zoro tore through Jack and Zoro This year, both Chris and I had a few days off before Christmas together.  We were pretty on top of things and had all of our Christmas shopping done BEFORE Christmas Eve!  I was pretty proud of us.  We were boarding a dog, Zoro, who is just a little smaller than Jack, but has 10x the energy. Saturday morning came, and  we had a busy day planned.  We were supposed to get all of our stuff packed up since we were going to spend the night at my parents' house, get the two dogs ready for the day, take all of our stuff (minus the dogs) to my parents' house in Sandy, go to a movie with Chris's family in Holladay, open presents at Chris's mom's house in Murray, come back to Riverton to pick up the dogs, and then drive back to have dinner and spend the rest of the evening with my ...
Tonight for dinner I decided to try a recipe from Pinterest.  I made the Chick-Fil-A copy cat nuggets . I know you are probably asking why this is "blog-worthy."  Well the answer is simple, and a big part of the reason I am creating a blog in the first place:  I rarely cook. I have not made a meal for my small, 2 person family for a LONG time.  Ok, that isn't completely true.  I did make us a frozen pizza on Sunday. I also threw in some Ramen Noodles on Saturday.  Other than that, our home-cooked meals are few and far between.  It's not that I don't like to cook, I really do!  My excuses are endless.  Cooking for two is tough.  I work.  We are starving college students.  I have a picky husband.  I am picky.  We have an Iceburg 100 yards from our front door.  We have a McDonalds 100 yards from the Iceburg. In any case, I just don't cook a whole lot but I am trying to change that. Anyways, back to the nuggets. ...

Kicking it off

Ok, so I have been wanting to start a blog for a long time to keep all of my ideas in all of the different areas of my life straight.  Pinterest helps out with the organization somewhat, but it is just not enough!  I am hoping to keep track of the the things I am doing at home, in church, and in school that are going well for me!
