Christmas Eve

Another milestone in this adventure today. We made it through Christmas Eve with minimal tears. I've got to say, I have always been a fan of Christmas songs, but a lot of them are a little more depressing to me this year. Like "I'll Be Home for Christmas," "Blue Christmas," "That's Christmas to Me," etc. There were some highlights though:
1. A trip to Rice Lake. It's always nice to go to a bigger town and get some errands done.
2. We took a gift over to our neighbors. We have met them once before, but we learned today that the wife (Christi?) is home during the day so she might be a source of sanity for me some days.
3. We went to the Kildow's home for dinner tonight. This is like 80 positives in one! They are just the nicest people! It was fun to meet their other son and his wife. They have the cutest little girl and are expecting a boy in February. We got homemade soap, salsa, jam and applesauce. We also got a pretty pine one wreath that Laura made and a boot rack that Brad made. Nixon scored some sweet Christmas bibs too! It was great to get out and not sit around missing our family all night.
351. We came home and Chris made caramel corn, I made hot chocolate and we watched Christmas Vacation.
352. Family FaceTime
353. Nixon is asleep!
354. I will be too in five minutes! Goodnight!
Ps. I need to work on pictures. I can't believe I didn't get any today. There will be lots tomorrow!
